IN HONOR AND MEMORY OF " THE RESILIENT SCRIBE" Juan B. Escalera

It is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to Juan B Escalera, known to so many in the ALS community as the Resilient Scribe. Juan was more than an advocate—he was a beacon of hope, strength, and creativity for all of us touched by ALS.

His passion for the cause was matched only by his boundless compassion. Juan gave so much of himself to our community, tirelessly advocating, mentoring, and uplifting those around him. Through his incredible talent and innovative use of technology, he transformed the ALS experience—creating stunning images and poignant stories that captured the trials of ALS with honesty and grace, yet always infused with inspiration.

Juan’s creative spirit and caring heart left an indelible mark on countless lives. He was a true friend, a guiding light, and a remarkable human being. His legacy will live on in the stories he told and the lives he touched.

He will be deeply missed by me and all who had the privilege to call him friend.
