What really matters?

Whether you are living with ALS or have cared for someone living with ALS, what have you discovered during the journey that really matters? This is something that many of us know can come with age as well. Please share about three things that you've discovered really matter. You might even want to talk about what no longer matters.ย

The three things I have found important with ALS that matter is.

1. Fear is not real and should always be treated as so. Fear keeps us from doing and saying certain things. Like tell a friend you love and appreciate them. Fear can keep you from coming outside and enjoying the world with the time you have left.

2. Every moment I have to create memories for my family is very important. To them and also myself. To leave records of your family values if you're leaving young children behind.

3. To give support to others when you can. Some PALS don't have any kind of emotional support system. These are the ones that need the most guidance in this ugly world of ALS.
